Time to fight your own vendetta

No pain, no gain (:

Epic stuffs been happening hahaha ~~~

Firstly, i almost died yesterday at weights training, like literally like I’m freaking dead serious /: almost had 40kg of weights fall on my face. Right then, I was like “chill guys, I’m okay” to my teammates but on hindsight … am just thankful God protected me. Can’t stop saying my thanks to God, really really (:

Am pretty proud of myself today(: with my performance at friendly against src(: coach didnt put me in as starting combi and strangely enough, I (grew up and) was okay with it really really. Mentality today changed. Had a chance to rethink the situation with the announcement of top 12 yesterday. Coach has been having a hard time choosing her main defenders. It doesnt matter if I’m not in main 7 as long as the best main 7, raffles netball can produce is playing on court. I don’t have to be demoralized or disappointed that I dont make main 7. Above all, I’m a teammate who wants the best for the team. And if this is indeed the best for the team, then so be it(: accepting fate is good.

When coach put me in today in the third quarter, I was delighted. I didn’t want to play to prove something to coach or my teammates, or to seize the opportunity. Rather, when I went on court, I wanted to play my best because I want to give the other defenders a run for their money. I want to push and challenge them because I wanted them to be better players and thereby creating an overall better team. Not just for myself. I guess that’s what it means to be in a team.

And I’m thankful I have the dream team[: can safely say that today, I surprised myself the most. I went on court, and gave my all because what’s the point if you don’t put in your 100% all the time. Consistency needs to be achieved. If we all love our sports so damn much, translate the passion on court. Walk the talk, guyz (:

Season is in a week’s time! I’m so excited my heart could burst into a million stars (: just come I want to play already hahaha. In the meantime, don’t fall sick, stretch properly, keep up fitness. Let’s go, sprint all the freaking way (:
