one thing that frustrates me about studying history is the realisation that everyone is just out to protect themselves. so much sovereignty and protection of national interests going on and all the animosity. i guess its truly reflective of life sometimes, and i guess it’s just annoying to have something academic, something seemingly irrelevant to our daily lives (HAHAH) be such an accurate portrayal of the ugliness that exists and lingers amongst us. everyone puts on a front, a mere facade and behind that facade is a self-serving, self-centred idiot thinking he’s so good at concealing his true agenda when actually, everyone has the same agenda. no wonder we’re all at a stalemate. sigh.
oh well. back to UN bleaugh.
